Ziptie AI Search Performance Tool Full Tutorial and Review

Introduction to Ziptie AI Search Performance Tool

Hello, good day, and welcome! Today, I want to show you the tool Ziptie AI Search Performance Tool (zipi.de). This is a tool that allows you to test and track your rankings across various Large Language Models and COKI tools.

What makes it special is that, according to its own statements, it is the only tool that tracks AI overviews in Germany. Naturally, this caught our interest, and today we want to test it with you and show you the different functionalities.

Getting Started with Ziptie

I have logged into my account, and as you can see, it’s completely empty. We will now start by creating our first project. To do this, click on the blue “Create Project” button. This will take you to the corresponding subfolder.

Here, we begin by naming the project. I’m calling this one Jagdjünger, which is a small affiliate project of ours. Our goal is to see how this project ranks.

Setting Up Your Domain and Language

In the next step, which is still loading, we need to enter the domain and click “Validate Domain.” This works perfectly.

Here, it seems you can select the device for tracking, but currently, only the desktop version is available. Next, we select the country. Ziptie shows that for Germany, two languages are supported: German and English. Note that this is not a selectable option; these languages are just supported by default.

Adding URL and Queries

Next, we must enter the URL. You can either use the root domain, which I have done, or a specific subpage if you want to track a particular piece of content.

Now, you need to input queries for which your website should be searched. Essentially, these are prompts entered into the Large Language Model search bar, either manually or using the AI Assistant.

Ziptie provides two options:

  1. The AI Assistant generates queries automatically based on your website content.
  2. You can enhance queries that you manually entered with AI assistance.

We’ll let the AI Assistant handle all queries automatically. Select the website language, the number of queries, and verify the URL if necessary, then click “Create Queries.”

After about two minutes, 100 queries are generated. These appear relevant and appropriate for the website. Before moving forward, you must verify the queries by clicking the verification button.

Brand Variations and Tracking Intervals

This step is optional. You can add brand variations to track. For example, our brand Jagdjünger can have variations like UE or with a TLD.

Next, set the tracking interval, which is by default every 7 days. The system will re-enter the prompts to check for changes. You can also assign a tag to the results; I’m using “Test Video” to filter and visualize results easily.

Finally, add the queries and proceed to check the output.

Reviewing the AI Search Results

After about 15 minutes, Ziptie executes all prompts across three search engines. On the left, you’ll see project data, including the brands tracked, filters applied, and an overview of success scores.

  • Success Score: 7%
  • Prompts found by humans: 1%
  • Sentiment: 100% positive
  • Citation frequency across AI tools

You can see which AI tool performs best—for example, Google AI Overviews shows a success score of 65%, whereas ChatGPT is lower at 44%. The data also shows brand mentions, influence in sources, and detailed AI tool performance (ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews).

Query-Level Insights

In the Queries tab, you can view each query in detail:

  • AI Success Score: measures how well your content ranks for that prompt
  • Overview: shows mentions in AI overviews
  • Optimization Report: offers actionable steps for improvement

This helps identify where your content is performing well and where improvements are needed.

Improving Content with AI Suggestions

You can analyze why your content ranks the way it does and improve it using Ziptie. For example, for the prompt “Which English hunting hours are best for hunting?”, the AI shows a current score of 11.11%.

By clicking the wrench icon, you can paste the relevant content and receive suggestions to improve discoverability.

The tool also provides:

  • Current Answer Score
  • Suggestions for better responses
  • Recommended locations to insert content

A pie chart evaluates content on five criteria:

  1. Trustworthiness
  2. Authority
  3. Freshness
  4. Originality
  5. Completeness

For example:

  • Freshness: 9/10
  • Trustworthiness: 7/10
  • Completeness: 7/10
  • Originality: Needs improvement

Indexing and Other Large Language Models

Ziptie allows you to check indexing and visibility across other large language models. While there are cheaper or more specialized tools for website indexing, the main strength of Ziptie is AI search impact tracking and prompt performance.

Pricing and Plans

  • Basic Plan: $179/month – covers project tracking for queries (AI Search checks included).
  • Annual Option: Save ~20% (~$300/year).
  • Standard Plan: $299/month – three times the AI search checks, more data summaries.
  • Pro Plan: $800/month – ideal for agencies managing multiple client projects, includes 10 properties in Google Search Console.

Final Thoughts on Ziptie AI Search Performance Tool

Ziptie allows you to enter many queries even in the Basic Plan, which is often restricted in other tools. Its AI-driven insights, query tracking, and content optimization suggestions make it worth trying for marketers, affiliates, and SEO professionals.

The main value lies in tracking AI search performance and optimizing content based on AI feedback.
